Wyomissing Apartment Fire: GGH brought in for property restoration

A devastating fire struck the Madison and Wynnewood Park Apartments on December 22, 2010. It was a four-alarm fire impacting 10 apartment units and taking a toll of over $1 million in damages.

The catastrophic fire was captured by the local news and received broad regional coverage. They reported that the fire broke out around 10 a.m. in a first-floor apartment in building W of the complex at 855 N. Park Road. A resident told emergency crews that he woke up to find his apartment in flames. A woman, who was rescued from a second-floor window, was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown for treatment of smoke inhalation. Everyone in the building got out safely, and two dogs were rescued.

To repair and restore the complex, property owners turned to GGH Construction. GGH was brought in to provide comprehensive property restoration services including demolition, repairs, replacement and refurbishment of the 10 apartment units, as well as other common areas.
